Charleston is the best of those three by far.
I don't know what's in the water over there, but my God are there some attractive women in Charleston.
All of this. That place is paradise. Great food and bars, beautiful architecture, long, rich history, nice people, southern charm, beaches. The women... my god. There is crime for sure but it's not enough to be a serious drawback imho. It's basically everything I love about New Orleans (minus the sentimental love of NO) minus the filth and music scene plus beaches

When I went to New Orleans as an 18 year old for the Sugar Bowl, I loved it. When I went back nearly a decade later, I found it dirty and smelly, honestly. The food was still good and the music is great, but the city itself is just kind of rundown.
Savannah is by far the most laid back of the 3 and I enjoy a getaway there from time to time. The architecture and numerous squares provide an absolutely gorgeous landscape, although the riverfront is very underwhelming with the port and freighters.
Charleston is probably my favorite city of the 3, it's a great combination of history, local culture, food, nightlife, and scenery.
I'd say:
-Charleston
-Savannah
-New Orleans
New Orleans probably would have been 1st or a very close 2nd when I was younger, but I'm far more laid back now and just want to relax when I'm visiting a coastal city. Nightlife is still important, but it's not my #1 criteria anymore.

Beaufort, SC is absolutely my favorite small coastal city. Gorgeous little town with wonderful islands and natural scenery around it.

Savannah is Charleston's little, uglier brother. Even people from Savannah know that Charleston is better.
New Orleans offers more than Charleston (like professional sports). But it also offers a ton more negatives and shite.
The influx of people from Ohio and Pennsylvania to Charleston is nauseating, but at least they typically are older and have money. The Tulane New England trash and Loyola grungy imbeciles don't help add to any New Orleans charm.
1. Charleston
2. Savannah
3. New Orleans
