I know a couple trans people and I honestly hope the best for them, and do not want to see them suffer or be discriminated against. That being so, I really don't think we need to pretend like this is normal. The vast majority of these people have serious mental issues that need to be addressed. Instead of praising their "bravery" they need to be helped.

When we lost a sales rep, she told my boss she wanted to move to our team. When he asked me what I thought about it, I told him I thought I would be seriously worried about getting fired for something I said. Not something I meant to be demeaning to her, just something in regular conversation.

Thank god I'm not in a hiring position b/c I have no idea how I would react if that walked into my office for an interview, but I'm sure my facial expressions alone would be sufficient for a lawsuit.

what i'm trying to say is, why does he think his gender should matter? Is he/they/she qualified to do the job? If so, great. Why teh frick do I care if they have a dick or vagina, or both? or neither? Who knows anymore, but can they get those TPS reports turned in on time? Alright then, leave all that gender/sexual preference shite out of the work place.
