New beta feature for desktop users: Last Page Read icon...

We have been working to clean up some of the code behind the scenes that has been with us for a long time. This new "Beta" version has leaner pages and some aesthetic changes. Additionally, this new Beta version has a dark mode (for both mobile and desktop) that many of you have been asking for. For desktop users, there is a new feature that provides a shortcut to the last page you have read in a thread.
To get to the new Beta version, registered users should click this link: LINK
Here is how the Last Page Read feature works on the desktop version: On threads with more than one page, if your last page read is beyond page 1, you will see the
icon next to the thread title on the forum index page. Clicking this icon will take you to the top of the last page you have read. This feature replaces the paging links that used to appear next to thread titles.
Note: If you are on page 5 of a 10 page thread and jump back to read something on page 1, the Last Page Read value will remain 5. If you jump to any other page beside page 1, the Last Page Read value will update accordingly.
The new beta version also has a dark mode...scroll to the bottoms and click "Turn on Dark Mode"
Dhillip and his team of engineers, under the close supervision of Circus Child, worked hard on this and I am proud of their efforts. We welcome any feedback.

Appreciate you trying to make the best message board site on the internet even better but is this feature really in demand?

Maybe I have too short of an attention span to really want to go back to a thread.

Not sure if I should be pissed or flattered you made a feature just for me

I don’t understand anything you’re typing because I’m colorblind. I originally requested dark mode but standard is better imo, after seeing dark mode

Why don’t we fix the search function?

I switched to dark mode and suddenly my wallet was missing.

Not particularly fine giving what we have in Premium but I understand the expansion. Dark Mode was inevitable of course.

What search feature are you specifically looking for?

I do that all the time and you’re right, that’s wayyy better than the search function here
.

Will this be an option for those of us that have been on mobile for years or use mobile or are we going to have to use "desktop" going forward? I enjoy the simplicity of the mobile version. Dark mode. I'd take it or leave it. I tried it, meh. I prefer regular, but that's just me. I know a shite ton of folks have asked for it so thank you for giving them an option.
