Thoughts:

The ability to utilize significant extensions to life will be out of reach to most people.

There would have to be some sort of check and balance. If the government allowed people to live without end, then it would have to stop people from creating new life. If that doesnt happen, Ray Charles could see that the whole system would fail.

Without death, life would really have no purpose. We live now under the constraints that our time is limited. That's what drives us to achieve. If you take that away, then man really isn't alive anymore.
