As you should.

quote:

If a person or company has failed to meet their own clearly delineated standards, you can of course ask for an apology or file a complaint, asking for your money back or what have you. Keep the explanation for your unhappiness short, moving as quickly as possible into what you’d like them to do to make it right.

For such a simple statement there are like a billion caveats.

yep. i'm in the IT world and pretty much everything i plan to develop has to be dumbed down & explained 3 or 4x until the executives understand enough to open the purse strings.

Very true... still found it to be an enjoyable read overall.

Solid advice. Most complainers or whiners dont deserve an explanation. Not giving them one also infuriates the ones who feel they are owed an explanation as well......which is nice.

No explanation, no details, poor title.

I'm complaining... this is a terrible thread.

Last week, I had a situation arise that caused me to put my a-hole hat on. I was furious. A financial institution in which I entrust with my personal information made a serious breach and caused an issue that still hasn't been completely cleared up.

I had everyone I spoke to from the manager in charge to the CEO for lunch. I'm not normally like that, but something hit me the wrong way about the situation. At the end of the day,. They've admitted the mistake, apologized, and they are doing what they can to rectify it. While I was a complete a-hole.

This article humbled me. Thought some of you would like it.
