It was raining one day and I watched the USPS worker slow down near my house and looked at the distance from the curb to my doorstep and just kept going (I had a package on the truck).

Have you ever seen The Postman? Mail is the fabric that holds our society together.

This is what kills me about people that look for gov't solutions to problems. All the gov't does is make shite worse. Always.

I love having a central mail box. If I was your hood, I would want one.

I don't check my mail everyday, because it's usually junk, so I like having it locked up just a little ways down the street. I can check it when I want and I know it's secure.

For packages, the central box has larger lockable lockers on the bottom. If it doesn't fit in that the Mail Man puts it at our doors.

All in all, I don't miss having a mailbox in front of my house. I like having a central one on our street.

To hit on the gathering of MILF's in your neighborhood? Amirite?

I noticed we didn't get mail for the last four days and called the post office to see what was up. It seems that fat lazy frick just decided on his own that he didn't want to deliver mail to the residents on my street. He said that we need a central box on our street and that until we do, we will have to pick up our mail at the post office.

OTOH, I ordered two items on the same day recently, both from vendors in California. One vendor used the postal service and the item arrived in three days. The other used UPS and it took 7 business days, 10 actual days.

When I lived in Tigerland, my roommate would use a screwdriver to pop our neighbor's mailbox open and steal his Time magazine.

It's 2015, traditional mail serves no purpose. I'm sorry for your loss of unordered catalogs and pre approved credit cards but I think you'll live. Now quit bitching.
