WTF is the problem with a boat in the garage and passenger vehicles in the driveway?

THE TRAILER IS 25' FROM HIS FRONT DOOR...AND AGAINST HOA AND CITY ORDINANCES.

THE RV LOOKS UGLY! BECAUSE ITS FREAKING OLD...THIS ISN'T JOHN DALYS 300K RIDE...

everyone who visits us when it's there ask "what is that?" Or "how long is that going to be there".

I really can over look it i mean have for 10 years...the new truck and trailer in the street pushed me over...

Somebody else beat me to it.

Why did you delete item 2? The boxed v nose trailer

Do you like making arguments by omitting key facts?

How’s this any different from people with more kids of driving age than garage spaces?

Living in an HOA sounds horrendous.

Yeah...houses range from 550 to 780....and you're okay with a neighbor...in cul de sac sporting two trailers ...one in a driveway the other taking up 45'of curb space...

HOA is a good thing when it comes to this kind of situation...unfortunately...ours is kinda of soft

if you live where your profile says

click here to submit a complaint they will never know you complained unless you tell him.

remain silent.

I have 2 teen drivers... We have 4 cars...

2 in the garage... 2 in the driveway.... We do our best to keep vehicles out of the street because we don't have a lot of space because we live in a cul de sac

The difference is we don't have a trailer on our driveway...That would prevent us From being able to use our garage or part of our driveway for personal daily vehicles

Thank you...

Basically what happened was I decided not to report anonymously...I didn't think about it much...I just filled out the form...city was quick to contact me

The person who went out to talk to my neighbor told me he was upset and wanted names ...

Knowing him I figured he'd find out it was me...

So my email was a bit of a confession...

I should have been more brief...

I think it was 10 years of pent up frustration...

I wanted him to understand my perspective...

Didn't go over well...

The trigger was another neighbor asked him his plans...and it was clear he was planning to keep it in the street...

From that understanding...I wasn't okay with that...

Because I wasn’t making an argument about the trailer. 3 of your first 4 complaints listed are dumb complaints…a boat IN his garage and he and his wife’s passenger vehicles in the driveway. The utility trailer complaint is one I don’t disagree with, especially paired with item 6 but I’m on mobile and didn’t feel like copy/pasting/quoting 3 separate times so I just deleted item 2

I listed everything going on so the reader can try to visualize the situation.

The trailer limits his access to what he can park on his own driveway.

Boat in garage is fine...

Personal vehicles on the driveway of course are fine....

The point of this is he owns 2 trailers and 2 trucks ...plus wife's car.

Yep...

The house next door just sold in the upper 7oos... 3200 sq.ft

Frankly way over priced...market is nuts!

Middle class community...

I don't want turn anyone in or confront them...

I just want others to be considerate...self aware of their impact

I'll be honest, I've tried reading this thread 3 times and I'm not seeing the problem or why this bothers/concerns you.

Ok...as you look at your front door...you see 45' to 55' of truck and commercial trailer connected and parked out front in your cul de sac...

Imagine...this being never ending

You can't bring work use equipment to your house let alone park it in he city street...daily...

Think about why there is an ordinance against commercial vehicles in residential areas...

Mail
Fire
Ambulance
Trash pick up access
Kids playing ball in the street...

He's in the way...and it looks bad...

That is one big arse trailer he has. Cul De Sacs are not for long term parking. The person that went there usually leaves a citation of a fine if not cleaned up in 30 days. Then it is their job to return and issue another larger fine and so on.

They usually don't get back to the complainer they just do their job. And they don't narc out the person that complained.

Every county is different. The email was a mistake.

I don't think they can enforce the fine really unless A LOT of neighbors complain.

I admitted my mistake.

Ultimately he's why there is an issue...

I approach these confrontations the same way:

"If this goes badly, am I prepared to do what is necessary to resolve the situation?"

The only time I said yes was over some roaming and threatening pitt bulls. I fired at two dogs in my backyard, walked out the back, warned the neighbor with shotgun in hand. They called the law.

The law agreed with me. They got fined and ticketed. Dogs got termed dangerous and next incident will be put down. No more dog issues.

I hope you find such luck.

Yep...

At the time it seemed good to be honest...

Years ago someone turned him in on driveway trailer...he went around asking "was it you?"...

He's not afraid of confrontation...

Lady on the board said he was a jerk and defiant...

They gave in to him...but he had to hide his trailer....its draped with fake net of green leaves

10 years!...
