Neighbor and the barking puppy

Well, next door neighbor got a beagle puppy for the kid. I'm not sure that the neighbor was that into it as I think the kid's father bought the dog and then dropped kid and dog at mom's house for the school year.
The dog is up all night yelping its little head off. They keep it outside all night. I can''t understand how the thing keeps it up so long.
Apparently, I'm not the only one bothered as another neighbor just blew an air horn into her yard.
Awesome. Any suggestions from the diabolical of the OT.

Talk to the neighbor. suggest a bark collar. We got one for our dog and it works well. $40 on amazon.

Report a break-in in progress at your neighbors. Situation resolves itself.

Get used to it. Beagles bark all the fricking time.

They clearly didn't put much thought into it.

Throw a steak over the fence.

Well that's one way to do it.
Just talk to the neighbor or leave a note. Easy to sort this out without coming across as a prick, especially with the bar set already.

did they just get it? if so, just get used to it, it's going to bark a lot in those first few days
it will eventually calm down...some
but beagles do like to howl

Just wait until that little yelp turns into a full-blown howl. Do y'all have a lot of squirrels in your neighborhood?

It always amazes me how people are clueless on how to communicate with their neighbors.

Call the cops....problem solved

Call animal control.
I called about my neighbors dogs. They sent them a letter and I never heard the dogs at night again.

My family has a beagle. We always only let her out to use the bathroom early in the morning and at night. Otherwise we kept her inside until normal working hours when she could run around outside and get all of her howling out of the way.

It seems they have common sense if they leave their dog outside all night barking and whining, so I don't like wasting my time. Besides, those neighbors were rude to begin with.
