There is a cemetery close to my home town that you could drive through and the gates were always left open.
In the middle of the cemetery is a grave marker that consists of a statue of an angel looking down at the grave. If you park in front of the statue after midnight and flash your headlights on and off 7 times; then turn your headlights off but leave your parking lights on the angel statue will look up at you.
One night, me and a girl I was dating went to see the angel look up.
Three weeks later the girl tells me she is late and she thinks she is pregnant.
Did she drive a red ragtop?

Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado." Fortunato's hideous shrieks at the end of the story, when he finally realizes that he is entombed without hope, still raises the hair on my neck. I love that story.

Nice bump.
The one about the creepy guy following him in the alleys and dancing in the moonlight won the thread, if I can recall

Once got a random letter in the mail addressed to me. From some guy in Nebraska. Said he went to some university and wanted to know about me. It was typed on computer paper and some weird font. My dad saw it and threw it away immediately. I was about 13.

The year is 1986 in Hattiesburg Mississippi I'm at a pay phone calling home. This was before we all had cells. I hear a loud noise across the high way. It's a wreck of some kind. I run over to see what happen. I'm the first one there. It's a old Datsun pickup. I start looking to see where the driver is. The small pickup had flipped looked like several times. I walk to the other side. There are 5 kids and two parents all laying around on the ground. I ask if everyone is ok. The dad says he thinks so. He is pinned under the car. Kids are laying everywhere. Mom is breathing but is out cold. Looks like all the kids are beat up maybe a few broken bones. I ask the dad how many kids he has. He says 6. Now remember this is a small pickup. Old no seat belts. I start counting and realize I'm one short. I kinda drawn in and there is one child still in the truck neck broke dead. I can't believe what I saw. I'm upset try to get up to the road to get some help. When a guy comes stumbling up from a car that had stopped a 100 yards up from the wreck. This guys says hey I kinda hit that little truck is everyone ok. I can smell him a mile away. He drunk as Ottis of of Andy Griffith. I tell him sir one of the children were killed. He says that's terrible. I almost killed him myself. Troopers got there shortly and found a case of beer and half a bottle of whiskey in the guys car. To this day I can see that poor child trapped inside the truck limp.
