A friend of mine used him and was not pleased. Isn't his expertise in criminal law?

I dunno. I thought he did family law a lot. Many clients blame their lawyers Bc many clients are idiots.

Sylvia Roberts has passed and still scares most of them.

It was rumored she did not reflect in a mirror.

If you're a guy, I'd reach up into Alexandria and get Chuck LaCroix. Family law is his specialty and I have even known of one case in which he got the MALE alimony from the ex-wife. I didn't look for that from mine, but he did quickly shut everything down from her attorney and had us in a favorable bargaining position. Aside from all the usual emotions that go with a divorce, the financial part was essentially painless.

Stereotyping us. Shame. Shame. It takes two to tango and there are a lot of horny women out there.

Seriously, get the very best you can afford. Take a small loan out if need be. Just make the decision fast and get on the offensive - out in front of things. It will pay off down the road. Trust me.

all the lawyers listed so far are good. unless you have a lot to fight over and really want to scorch the earth, you don't need to hire someone who requires a $7,500 retainer. if you sic Walsh and saffioti on each other with $15,000 to spend, surprising disputes will arise.

if you talk to her and tell her you'd rather be generous with her than a lawyer, and neither one of you are completely stupid, you can save money and accomplish a lot.

if you decide you want a battle, you'll get one. in the end, vince and mike will be happy and you and the ex will be unhappy.

and yes, i have practiced in family court for over 20 years.
