Is this the shite where they don’t allow even parents to watch practices so the routines can’t be stolen? Seems like I heard something like that.

There is no cheering. They don’t cheer. Yet it’s called all-star cheer.
My daughter did it for 10 years. If I ever put pen to paper to figure out how much I spent, I’d probably want to commit suicide. There was also 5 years of school cheer which was another huge expense. The private tumbling lessons with a gymnastics tumbling bc the competitive tumbling coaches weren’t good enough weren’t cheap. I never want to know how much I spent.

PS - She now gives private lessons for little kids, does choreography for schools, and judges tryouts and makes a pretty penny. So I guess it wasn’t all for naught.

Company called varsity, HQ in Memphis, owned by Bain Capital. They basically consolidated every aspect of organized cheerleading into a massive monopoly/racket.
