My wife and I would rather do other things with our time than raise kids.
Honestly.. as a 60 year old grand parent.. I tip my had to anyone that does not bow to the pressures of society to have kids if they decide they don't want any...

Talk to some Vietnam veterans about that patriotism they experienced when returning and getting spat on at airports.
Exactly, boomers didn't become patriotic until they controlled the establishment. Before that they were running to Canada, burning draft cards, and being hippies.

That was still a pretty small segment of that generation.

Liberals have always been awful

Just like the segment of millennials that people bitch about 24/7 on here.

You mean the 98% that give the 2% the bad rep?

Many often look at religion and tradition with mockery until they realize they aren't as smart as they thought they were.
Hasn't belief in "religion" been on the decline for decades/centuries?

Yeah, we're all gender fluid baristas with women's studies degrees who smoke, but only ironically and with a cigarette holder.

You do realize there are literally thousands of successful business owners that are very liberal and embrace left wing policy, right?
The rest of your post is riddled with small world thinking, but didn't feel like addressing all of it.
Only the ones ignorant of what Leftism actually is might support it. I believe you may be confusing narrow minded, self righteous narcissism with Leftism. It is easy to do because the latter absolutely requires the former.
When you grow up a bit, you'll realize that you are not as smart as you think you are. "Big world thinking" is another way of saying "Old ideas that were just as stupid the last time they were popular."
Experience and wisdom bring perspective and understanding. If the old you bears too much resemblance to the young you, you've done failed at life, baw.

Of course not, baw. It ebbs and flows like many other historical constants.
Check out "The Great Awakening" or its sequel "The Second Great Awakening." Then there was most of the latter half of the 19th century, the 1920s, the 1950s,the 1980s, and the early 2000s. That's just Christianity in the US. If you'd like to expand, Muslim numbers blow your assertion out of the water.
And if you think Leftist ideology is not a religion, I suggest you talk to a Leftist. You won't find someone more dedicated to blind faith in something unproveable or unattainable in conjunction with extreme self righteousness, community identity, and value intolerance.

thinking of mass shootings lately and how so much mental illness is driven by lack of meaning, it’s disheartening that 3 huge potential sources of purpose/meaning in life- children, love of country, religion- have collapsed in value for younger generation
When so many people value their self-worth based upon likes in twitter, facebook or other social media platform, this is what you get unfortunately.
Posted on 8/26/19 at 3:31 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!
My generation values “community” if it can be accessed through the black mirror and doesn’t require leaving home.

Millenials came of age during the Iraq War and subsequent recession, so not surprising in the least.
True, however many millennials were also coming of age in the early 2000s. It can be argued that following the 9/11 terrorist attacks was one of the most patriotic times in our history.

This board and its "millenials bad" circle-jerk... Most of the stereotypes are complete bullshite.. At least from my personal experience and for the circle of friends that I have. Every one of us work hard to earn a living, have families, and are patriotic. This "poll" if you can even call it that, is a bunch of nonsense.

People under 39 are wackjobs.
