there's a video of an F-18 landing and through some kind of frick up another one lands right behind it. this was years ago
huge fireball. I was told the guy ejected and was caught in the tower. i'm not sure if it was the splosion or whatever the frick comes off those thingamabobs on top of the tower, but apparently he was seriously burned head to toe.

Depends on his job but if he is in the fleet, his background check has probably already been completed.
My job was communications with a specific task of being the custodian of all cryptographic and confidential material.
Everything on a sub is classified as "Secret" so therefore I did have to request background checks on any sailor who worked in a non-con field who had not already had the BGC's performed.
FBI definitely knocked on my neighbors doors

The reason he was not seriously injured in this instance was because his intercom and headgear were sucked of his head first and that destroyed the engine before he reached the compressor blades.
