They are getting some fairly large severance packages if they voluntarily separate.
Upwards of $100,000 in most cases.

Sucks that they'll lose their careers when all they aspired to do was protect and serve our great nation.
Better option would have been to create an all transgender regiment and give it a funny and patriotic name, like The Fighting Figs or something of the sort.

Good. The mentally ill have no place in the military.
Meanwhile the military is facing a recruitment crisis.

and a large part of it is because of the state we're in, maybe this will reverse that, another part of the problem is the pool of potential applicants

No worries. They'll all get Disable Veteran benefits for the rest of their lives. I see those tags outside my gym and tennis complex so no big deal.

You think some kid sitting in his room, playing COD is thinking how much he wants to join the military, but won't because he's repulsed by the mythical man with tits?

Think that would be a very tough thing for a judge to do given the extensive powers over the military the constitution grants the president.

Who in their right mind would volunteer to quit in this situation?
Let them terminate you and then join the class action suit a few years from now.

Maybe you should have to become a real man.

so are women in combat arms
I was deployed in Iraq with female soldiers in our unit. I've said this before; It created a dynamic that wasn't aligned with increased lethality.
Considering that trans personnel are non-deployable the same can be said for them.
If you don't or can't contribute to lethality, you need to find a new line of work. The military isn't a place for compassion, empathy and kindness.

What's gonna happen to that old tranny dude we've all seen wearing the Navy dress? Is that fricker even still in the Navy?
He was or is an Admiral in the National Health Service.
