I remember "celebrating" this when I was in elementary school (1st or 2nd grade). We had a contest to see who could decorate the best baseball cap. I lost.

Who's signing off on these days? Every day is national something..how are these formed?
If I had the idea that January 15th was national hat day, where would I even go to get that run up the flagpole for someone to approve it and spread the word nationally? Is there a council? Do people vote? I must know.

i think this day needs to be moved to National Football Recruiting day to coincide with the hat picking done.
