Do you put your hand over your heart? Does it anger you to see those who don't?
I learned in the navy when not in uniform to stand at attention so that's what I do. And frick you if you don't like it because it's not your country.

I stand at present arms when in uniform.
I place my hand over my heart when not.
I don't pay attention to others during the anthem. Only Old Glory

took my son to a lsu game awhile back and during the national anthem he didn't put his hand over his heart and after we sat down - he stated that people get this confused with the pledge of allegiance when one is supposed to put their hand over their heart. So I whispered to him that if you ever want to attend a sporting event with me that I better see your hand over your heart or that will be the last time we go to a sporting event. I told him I did a piss poor job of raising him. We were fine after that.
I was like wtf though.
I went to various websites to confirm and most stated that military personal salute, men/women with sport caps should remove them and place hands on heart as well as everyone else.

And how is not taking your hat off showing disrespect? One of the oldest traditions that I wish would go away.
