I worked with a guy who told me his dad flew SR-71’s. I knew of his dad though we never met. Out of curiosity I found a website that listed the pilots that flew that aircraft and sure enough, his dad’s name was listed among that group.
After I had shared the website with him, he told me his dad never told the family that he was part of that select group until much later in his life. Now, I wish I could have met him before he passed.
