Napoleon - Kenmore fridge help

I have a kenmore model 10656936600. It stopped working yesterday. I'm trying to troubleshoot it, but can't find a manual anywhere online. all i have is the wire schematic. I'm trying to locate the thermostat and control board. We ended up buying a new fridge, but would like to see if the kenmore would be a possible cheap fix to sell afterwards.

Kenmore is the hardest brand to get manuals for.
For two reasons.
1) Kenmore makes no appliances, others make them for them and put the Kenmore name on them.
2)Kenmore is owned by Sears, and Sears wants you to call Sears to fix it, so they control the literature.
So what you have to do is find out who made it, and then what model it's based off of and then go from there.
110 and 106 are Whirlpool, so this is a Whirlpool fridge.
Whirlpool is an easy brand to get parts for.
What are the symptoms you are having?
In my experience the thermostats/air dampers rarely fail, and the control is usually only failed in a no run or no defrost scenario. On Whirplools the start device on the compressor failing is a more likely cause for a compressor not running.
All the controls for this unit are located at the front of the fridge behind the ..well controls.
You would remove the 1/4" hex head screws to access.
#6 is your control board, #9 is your thermostat.
If you jump the terminals on the thermostat and the compressor kicks on, then the thermostat was bad (assuming a no run scenario; again I have no idea what problems you are searching)
The control allows you to test every componet of the unit.
With the wiring diagram locate the wires running to the heat system. With the freezer cold you should have continuity in the heater system, if you do not, then a defrost component is failed.
Was your freezer icing up to where the fridge was not cooling? Most cases that is a defrost component failure. Sometimes it's the control (in a GE it's almost always the control) but I would check for continuity there. You can also force a defrost on that model. Unplug the unit for fifteen seconds and plug back in, it should start in defrost mode. You should have heat coming from the bottom of the freezer coils.
Anyway, specific questions just ask.
As far as the manual on this unit, it's pretty light, not much info.
Disassembly steps to access control.
Remove control knobs by pulling towards you.
Then with a butter knife or a paint scraper remove the front fascia of the control, it just pops out.
Then remove the two front screws and the two back screws and the control bezel will be accessible.

Thanks for the amazing feedback, as always. I tried accessing the control panel yesterday. Couldn't find it anywhere so I assumed it was behind the control "knobs". I was never able to get that front face plate off. However in my moving stuff I ended up moving the freezer knob back and forth a bunch of times. Read online this resets the fridge. Well I plugged it back in later that night to test some more stuff and it started working again...
As of now it's been running for 24 hrs with no problems. Not sure if it'll keep working or not.
As to your other questions, I didn't notice any symptoms. No freezing up and I had vacuumed the coils about a month ago. It just was not working yesterday morning when we woke up. Figured it died sometime Saturday.

Sounds like your compressor overheated and shut down.
Make sure fan in the back is working and the coils are clean.
Could very well be the thermostat.
But problems don't just disapear. It's starts working again because it cools down or a loose connection makes contact.
