Dishwasher is Fisher & Paykel DD24DCTX7

I searched for a replacement OEM drain hose, and I was quoted nearly $70.

Will a universal one work as a replacement or is this drain hose (the type of) proprietory to F&P?

One of my dogs ate it. I'm lucky to be alive and thankful she didn't eat my children.

That looks exactly like a universal drain hose

But the real reason it’s called a universal drain hose is because it has a rubber fitting on the end of the tube that you can cut to fit to the size you need and then throw a hose clamp on it. You’ll see when you go look at universal hoses

Proprietary drain hose?

It's just a water tunnel.

Find the $10 one of the same size and move on

Looks like a fairly standard bilge pump drain hose. Measure the diameter and get one much cheaper than OEM.

Could you possibly just cut a couple of inches off the end?

I thought that as well (cutting) but I am not sure if it has some special gasket or fitting before it was destroyed.

And pictures after searching online aren’t too telling.

Is it the end that connects to the drain or dishwasher?

Probably a rubber boot missing. Is your dog having digestive issues?

Lowes or Depot should have what you're looking for.
