A woman from the first season was my tour guide in Alaska. The show hadn't aired yet so I had no idea what she was talking about. Anyway, she came off as loony tunes on the tour as she described the spirit of an eagle being injected into her when she was pierced by the talons of a bird she rescued.

Used to belong to a hunting club that had a big lease in the basin. As part of the membership every member had to go to at least two work days in the summer to clear trails, work on the bunkhouse, facilities, etc. Those were some miserable conditions and clearing the trails was pretty hazardous. Couldn’t go ten, twenty feet, it seemed like, without having to deal with a cotton mouth. Never seen so many snakes.

I'd imagine some remote bayou in LA would present a huge challenge for someone dropped there with minimal supplies and no clothes. Hard pass.
They tried to do it a few years ago in the Spillway with just 2 contestants and both of them tapped out after a couple days

They probably wrote them a ticket for not having on the proper hunter’s orange either.

They need a new show. "Naked and Afraid: The Urban Jungle". Set them loose in Chiraq or NOLA.

Sitting there naked with two game wardens walking up on him was awkward. He said he remained cooperative, the tickets weren't too bad, and he paid all the fines and restitution required.
You would think that with their filming permit that they’d get some sort of special hunting permit/permission for the contestants. Seems like they film the show during warmer parts of the year which means its probably closed season on most wild game....at least for episodes filmed in the US. I always figured the contestants would have permission to kill any wild game with the exception of protected or endangered species.

I take that route all the time to shell beach. I don’t have time for the high rise traffic. Everyday I swear a car is stalled in the center lane.

Can they eat gator? Should be a lot of food then.
You wrestling an alligator to death with your bare hands and wax myrtle sticks?
Not to mention the fact that you are naked and your peter is flopping around in plain view of said gator...

It does suck and these days you can get shot just as easily on the 10.

To give these new recruits further infantry training after 8 weeks of basic training, the new soldiers were sent to North Fort Polk for AIT (Advanced Infantry Training). At North Fort they entered a new area known as "Tiger Land". Tiger Land was the training area where these soldiers would receive their first "combat" training in the field. Tiger Land was a large area of thousands of acres of land where there were villages resembling Vietnam Villages and hamlets just as these soldiers would see when they arrived in Vietnam.
Louisiana was the closest environment to the jungles of Vietnam.

Game warden baws are strict. I knew a dude that was a game warden(one of the Landry bros that make the hot sauce,) that arrested his brother for shooting Grobecks, Wasn’t his first offense so he had to go to jail on weekends for a while.

I grew up near the atchafalaya basin as a kid. We used to play in the woods/swamps all the time. I would wrap myself up in clothes from head to toe and walk the woods all the time. the key was wrapping your head so the dam mosquitoes buzzing you would stay away. Great times i remember. 98 degrees wrapped in clothes building a camp and playing war in the woods in the middle of summer. Doing it naked im out in 3 hours
