Yes, I can definitely see your point there. Thats no longer my issue but like I said earlier I've been doing the food delivery thing and it's been great.I don't have to plan and it gives us a chance to try new things.

My wife just signed us up for that food delivery service. I'm anxious to see how this is going to work out.

Blue apron. They have a few choices. She picked 2 meals per week for a family of 4. $60 per week.

I would be in the gawking contingent fwiw. And Sam's Club with a little Publix for specialty items is where it's at.

No one ever gets rich (or stays rich) by paying more when you could be paying less.

I only gawk at woman that look like trashy stoppers.
Do you dress like a stripper?

That is completely false. Nobody gets "rich" from cutting coupons. They get rich by making a shite-ton of money.

No I save my stripper clothes for trips to the gas station.
Now back to BA. Y'all are going to be impressed with the quality of food and the savings you have by not wasting food which was my big issue.

One would have to be a weirdo to gawk at you.

have you ever checked out the womenz in one?
eta in the past year i've run into nicole kidman and lee ann rimes in the one in nashville.
Kidman hangs out in the Green Hills one quite often apparently, so I believe this story. She also goes to that YMCA. The wife has seen her and said she looks like a porcelain ice queen, whatever that means
I love Trader Joes, but some stuff is more expensive and some stuff is much cheaper. You have to know what to get.
Also, the parking at that location is a fricking nightmare.

Publix already uses this model. They have higher prices and advertise that they are for your pleasant shopping experience. Their stores are big, clean, well designed and well stocked. They have the BOGO thing going but are overall quite expensive.
They also have a shitty meat and seafood department and their produce is average at best.

I recently gave up my sams membership and joined Costco
I'm kind of regretting it. Sams has more "normal" everyday items, and Costco seems to be more organic, gluten free, blah blah
They both have some great deals and some perks to using both, but there were some things I always got at sams that Costco doesn't seem to have.

No one is cutting coupons but I'm not spending 20-40% more for anything.

Publix?
Their meat and seafood is damn solid in Nashville. Can't speak to their produce though.
ETA:
I don't like Publix because the workers freak me out. They're all up in you grill while you shop. There's a line between being nice and being annoying. Also might be because I'm awkwardly stoned sometimes when I grocery shop, but if I have a question, I'll ask. Stop stalking me down each aisle asking if I am ok and finding everything

i pretty much refuse to shop anywhere that accepts EBT cards. I'll suck it up and go to wal mart if i really have to, but typically i see no reason. I can get what I need at the "fancy grocery"
I think you are full of shite. What grocery store chains do not accept ebt???

I don't think Colandro's accepts ebt.

quote:There's just something very annoying about the shopping experience at Walmart. I'm with you, I don't mind who I shop around all that much. It's just about as inconvenient a shopping trip I could make.
I rarely see lines that different at Walmart than anywhere else. I don't really need "service" there, and I never have once had an issue with the shelves being stocked??
I'm not saying your Walmart doesn't have these problems, but I don't see them where I'm at
I shop at albertsons, Costco and rouses on occasion too, but we go to Walmart when we need other household items
I'll put it this way...I enjoy going to Costco or Rouse's or Target because the stores are clean, the aisles are wider, there are less people and there are more staff. And the staff is usually pretty helpful and just flat out enjoyable to interact with.
Not to mention that if I go into Walmart thinking I'm going to save I usually don't. I'll spend the same amount at Walmart as I do at a combined Costco/Winn-Dixie trip.
