Seriously. People like this that can't stand to not get attention, to the point that they jeopardize their jobs.

This has always been par for the course with this guy .. an open book to get either sympathy or e-pats on the back .. He just wound up with a big boy job and it has collided with his internet ignorance this morning .. Glad Net quoted his first post ..

As a safety director for a company that performs industrial maintenance, I am glad your employee is ok and that situation could have gone south in a hurry. I would also caution you on putting stuff like this out on the interwebs because this can cause some serious issues. You might have on OSHA inspector on this site reading this and they could piece together information and pay your plant a visit which is never good. Not to mention the legalities in the event that this situation becomes a civil suit.

His last thread said he wasn't going to take the job because no one wanted it. Not because of the danger but because it put him in a higher tax bracket and he was going to make less money even with a higher salary

Worker was probably drooling over your elementary school homecoming photo and not paying attention to what he was doing.

Yeah I've definitely seen his attention whoring posts. His pic has been blasted here too. There are thousands of lurkers on this site, some with creepy intentions. This thread is stupid, but not surprising for him.

I'm surprised I didn't see you in the IQ thread. I made a 179, but I was hungover when I took it.

I don't post too much on the OT so I'm admittedly ignorant, but man you guys are ruthless. My first reaction is usually to help, not throw someone under the bus.

Well, that's not unbelievable.

As a single filer if you make up to ~$37k you're in one, if you make ~$37k to ~$90k you're in another.

someone making 36k and gets a raise to 38k will most likely bring home less money.

IF you're telling the truth, you shouldn't be posting this for the reasons others have mentioned. If you have completely fabricated this story or even exaggerated the details, you are even dumber. Let's say that this story does cause an OSHA investigation and it is untrue, best case scenario you lose your job. I would imagine you could also be found libel for any damages your lies could cause. At least you got to tell everyone you are a supervisor at some plant........

If I was his boss, I'd have his dumb arse escorted off the property with a box of his shite, for posting near miss evidence on a damn message board. That would "help" him into the unemployment line.

And I'm just thankful that the only injury was a minor burn. shite gets pretty scary when a ladle(think big metal bucket) holding 15,000 pounds of molten steel, hovering 15 feet above the plant floor and shooting molten metal out at an angle like a fire truck water hose. Standing there helpless as one of my younger guys panics as he tries to get control of the situation, but even then he's standing on a 10 foot railed ladder over looking a 20 foot deep pit. Definitely one of the most helpless moments of my life and one that made me come straight home and kiss my ole lady and hold my kids as tight as I possibly can. Life is short guys. And it can end in a moments notice. Tell your family you love them, you never know when your time is up.

Not specifically referring to this OP, but most of the problems that people have are self inflicted due to attention whoring. geauxjudge posted confidential information about cherlize Theron's adoption in Arkansas and the wrong person read about it here and referred him to the judicial disciplinary committee in AR
