I would never pay anywhere near that for a short ride somewhere. Then again I've usually driven to another city for a game and just hang out in the parking lot for an hour before driving home.

The full model is drivers get 80% of the fare no matter what it is. Sometimes there are bonuses for having X number of rides or more. Sometimes there is a guaranteed minimum per hour like 20-30 dollars.
