Once again, my condolences on your loss. But she is out of pain now.

Never forget all the good times and happiness she brought you.

You are a stupid frick and are making your own assumptions on BPs situation. Call it redneck if you want, but it's a quick and painless death.

Tell that to my wife who treats plenty of people who shot themselves in the head.

I have definately been using hyperbole in talking to BP, but I don't think it is humane or even "painless" to shoot your dog in the head in real life. I am sure he is a good guy though But I'm on the OT right now, so I have to attack with 100% conviction and anger

My wife is a Dr. too. A well placed shot in the brain stem kills instantly. I've had to put down several animals that way, not just dogs. Having farm animals, it's common. It's not being a tough guy, but relieving pain.

So very sorry. You and your family did the right thing. She will be excited to see you at The Rainbow Bridge.

Who knows?

Good dogs like that may be reincarnated as a beautiful and loved human infant one day.

A bullett, especially after she bit you. She's suffering and needs to be put out of her misery.

Sorry to hear this. I know the Rant says cats are for pussies, but my gf and I had one for 16 years. She had cancer and had to have some fluid drained. That helped her breathe, but she eventually just couldn't go anymore and died in our front yard. We were there with her. I hadn't cried that much since my mom died in 2008. I have some best friends that I have that I haven't been around for 16 years, so it was hard to let her go. I could go on and on about stories with her, but we couldn't bring ourselves to put her down.

It will get better over time, but it still hurts more than a year later.

I was told my Rufus had aggressive heart cancer and wasnt going to live 2 weeks. We tried to comfort him best we could over the last few days and just let him relax where he wanted....his last literally minutes, he got up from where he was came to see me and I gently picked him up and put him on the bed and he literally died in my arms moments later as the walk to my room in the house was too much. I had to watch him spasm as he had a heart attack, quit breathing, and expire.

Breaks me down now just thinking about it. It was one of the hardest most gut wrenching things Ive ever had to go thru and I promised myself not ever again. I would put a dog down before I would ever allow even the briefest suffering that Rufus went thru.
