Scruffy has no idea.
If the price is that insane, he should contact his physician to find another option.
$28k is insane, unreasonable, and a load of crap.

So your doctor works for Walgreens?

None of this happened. OP is a DU bot here to make socialist mischief.

Retards, like the OP, make arguments that are blatantly false.

I always heard my dad and grandpa say "case of the red arse" but I never knew what it meant.

Your doctor did not charge you this
Your doctor isn’t seeing a dime of that supposed $28,000
Doctors don’t make a commission off drugs they prescribe
They make a pittance of a salary while drug company and health care system executives work them to the bone and gaslight them into professing “I do this because I CARE about people, not for the money!” While those executives walk away with plenty of paid leave and millions of dollars in their bank account.
The OT has a WILDLY inaccurate perception of the health care industry

Since when do Drs dispense meds?

Mine just started me on otezla for PS and PsA. Insurance denied my claim but pharmacy had me call and request a manufacture co pay card which will cover the script for a year at $0 per month.

Make sure you get your copay card, have your PA paperwork submitted and call your insurance to make sure it’s covered. That’s actually a “cheap Biologic” and usually covered if you have decent commercial insurance.

Not directly, but they do get gifts and trips from drug reps (or did 20 years ago).

Is there a generic for Skyrizi? I don't think there is.
It’s a new drug so it is not available in generic. A drug patent expires after twenty years to the date of filing, that’s when it can be made in generic form.

The $28K List price or WAC. If you have BCBS LA call your insurance company and ask them if it’s covered, what are the step edits the doctor has to do before writing it. Once that’s been done and documented then you should get it sent from Accredo SP if it’s BCBS La.
