You really made this post under the assumption people had gasoline on their fingers from being careless and pressed the buttons.

Left is always 87, middle 89, right 93 or 91 if in the west. If there is a fourth it's usually E15 unless it's yellow then it's E85.
Diesel is to the far left and uses a different hose.
But yeah in the hood people screw up the stickers on the buttons.
