flood insurance is not the insurance is NOT the insurance companies' money. it's Federal dollars. why do you think they tried to blame all damage on flood and none on wind post Katrina?

to remove cabinets in his home until he takes a look at them. Any other adjusters say the same thing? I don't get this, meanwhile mold is growing....
After Katrina, State Farm told me the same thing. They replaced all of my cabinets due to mold.

I had a shite bag adjuster tell me that my cabinets could be cleaned after Hurricane Isaac blew my roof off. Not to remove them blah blah blah.
Well the cabinets were falling off the walls and coming apart. We left them on. The house was unlivable by the way. The insurance paid for housing per the policy but tried to string us along on claims. They also would threaten to cut of the housing if we didn't hurry up and repair the house. Yet they didn't want us to remove the cabinets and refused to pay for them. I paid for a new roof out my pocket, they tried to throw about 35k at us for a house whose roof was blown off and soaked for about 36 hours straight. The house was fricked.
We finally hired a public adjuster and had the house tested for mold. Took massive amounts of pictures and video of the house and cabinets and basically went to war with the insurance company. The mold tests came back as toxic strains and levels, mold was behind the cabinets, took pics of that and finally we had to hire a public insurance appraiser and the entire claim went to arbitration and we got over 100k, but the appraiser got 25k.
It was a God damn nightmare and it took over a year to get paid. During that time I contracted some damn mysterious Meningoencephalitis probably from the mold but the Drs could never decide how I got it.
It was a damn painful fight, but after suffering through it, it was worth it.
