My dad died in '84 and my mom in '99.
I miss them every day and I wish they could've met my daughter. My dad and would've made her a rocking horse and doll house. My mom would've made her things to wear.
My wifes parents are getting up there in years and I truly dread what she'll eventually have to face. There won't be damned thing I'll be able to do to ease her pain.

All you fricks are lucky.
Lost my dad when I was 6. (Hit by drunk driver)
He lost his dad when he was 18. (Cancer)
And his biological mom dropped all ties when he was a baby. (Think my mom is friends with her on Facebook. Met her once at my dads funeral)
My mom lost her mom when she was 4. (Cancer)
And lost her dad when she was 20. (Heart Disease)

I feel extremely fortunate. I had both of my parents and all four grandparents until I was 25. I'm 27 now and still have both parents and two grandparents. I know a lot of people who have lost much more than I have at this point in life.

Sorry to here. On the 13th it will be 18 years since my dad has passed. I think about him every day. Next year I will have lived as long with him here as I have with him not here.
