Interesting, what about the people who don’t live in the city and work at the manufacture plants away from large cities?
I used to work for a company that opened a factory in China to make stamped metal automotive parts. When they first opened, about 80% of the workforce there came from rural areas. They lived in tiny cramped dorm rooms and ate at the company cafeteria. They all signed at least two year contracts with the company. So, they would work there for two years while sending their wages back home to the family farm. After their two year contract was up, they would move back home to work the farm for a year or so and then sign another contract or find another company that did something similar.
