I had a cat once. Cleaning ladies at my place cornered a mouse in the bathroom and said you deal with it. Pfft, no problem I thought. Have a cat. Come here cat and eat this fricking mouse. I put her in the bathroom and what happens? The mouse JUMPS at her face and frags her nose. Cat wants nothing to do with the mouse and scurries away whilst opening the closed bathroom door.
Had to deal with it myself. Was not amused. Cats only kill when they feel like it I guess.
