It's so fricking ridiculous it took this long to go to trial.

Tough situation with that jury.

Hang in there. Hope there's some justice coming. Ol' Keisha needs some admonishment as well. What a family--

Not sure how anyone with a conscience can think a public defender is not needed.

Officially hung. Have to try him again.
Rescheduled for June 6th.
What really gets me is that the jurors admitted they didn't believe his alibi, and therefore should have came back with a verdict of guilty. During jury selection, I think about half said that they would be reluctant to give someone a life sentence.
What about my life sentence? What about Chad's family's life sentence?
I just had my second surgery on the arm I got shot in, I'm out of work and there's no chance of finding anything in the oilfield right now. I need help. I'm talking five 2mg Xanax a day just to cope, because I sit around the house all day thinking about this. I'm on the verge of hanging it up and ending this constant pain I've been in for six years.
ETA: The piece of shite "mother-in-law" who provided the so-called alibi should be arrested and indicted for perjury.

Probably a quick conviction in any other courthouse in the state. Wonder if they'll offer a manslaughter or something now. I won't ask you how you'd feel about such a plea offer.

Please don't "hang it up." Chad wouldn't want that. No one wants that.

The alibi was something..... You are able to lock a group of 20 year old males in a house for 10 hours every night (when you aren't there) and you know they don't have any way of leaving because the doors are "really locked"? And like was said in rebuttal, what if there was a fire or emergency?

Thug alibis are always gold. Either a mom swears her angel was home, often in bed, or the angel himself will swear he was asleep.
A couple years ago there was a high speed car chase after a shooting and one of the occupants said he slept through the whole thing.

Can't imagine how hard this must be for you and your support group. I know it doesn't feel like it, but one day this will all be behind you. It will be something that made you stronger and you will come out a better person because of it.
I don't want to say I know how hard it is because I don't. All I know if if you are strong enough to stick it out and commit to yourself and your loved ones that you won't let this defeat you then you will be a better man on the other side.
Stay strong man!

Well that is not true at all. There is strong correlation between an adrenaline rush and memory. Think of all the close calls to an almost car accidents you can easily remember.

Hang in there bud. Justice will be served

Don't give up. There's a reason your life was saved. If you don't already have a great therapist in your life, get one. Prayers for you.

Nah, eyewitness testimony has been shown to be unreliable.

At least your IQ is too low to ever have to worry about execution.

Think about the chance that multiple witnesses, in different home invasions, identify two individuals in different lineups who happen to be biological brothers and live together.

Cork, I'm so sorry about all this. Please don't give up. There will be justice. You need be here to see it. And to point and laugh Nelson style as this POS gets his.

What the frick is wrong with you? I never disagree with you on here but you always come with the insults.

Actually wasn't trying to respond to you, but on an old tablet and clicked the wrong reply. Was referring to the post about the guy downvoting Cork on an earlier page.
