I feel like a lot of people don’t get this. If you have an accident and the vehicles are able to move, move them.
I got T-boned after a Lightning games 2 years ago. I had to swerve into the oncoming lane to try the avoid to crash that I painfully saw coming(there was nobody coming in the oncoming lane).
I got hit and drove about 3 blocks before I found an appropriate place to pull over.
The car that hit me followed me and was cool but the police officer that eventually arrived chewed my arse out for “driving away from the scene.”
He ended up writing a horrifically biased and angry report that made it hard for me to convince my insurance that I wasn’t at fault.

This should be a felony. It puts lives at risk.
The first thing a police office will tell you upon arriving at the scene, is to get the fricking cars out of the road!!!
But have some of y’all never been hit before? I will NEVER make the common sense move of getting out of everyone’s way again.
You’re just screwing yourself if you do.

Yeah. I think there is more to this story.

The first thing the cops do when they get there is yell at them to move the fricking cars

My work has a policy that if you get in a wreck in a company vehicle, you do not move it until the police arrive.
And you always get a police report.
Personal vehicle I would move it if reasonable.

Your insurance failed to pay?
Yes. We both had State Farm and they said it was a shared accident with equal responsibilty. Meaning with just liabilty on an old pick-up I was SOL and the other guy would have to self-claim if he had more than liabilty and wanted insurance to fix his car.

My cousin broke both legs in a multi car wreck that began because two idiots didnt want to move their cars out of the interstate lanes after a fender bender.
Did he get somebody to help push his car to the shoulder?

That’s dumb AF. That’s just a nuanced way of trying to save money (defending against liability) at the expense of employee and public safety.

I got hit about 50 feet before an intersection and drove through it to get out of everyone’s way. I was in the left lane and it took me a couple little side streets to get over and pull over.
