Pretty damn good. That is the only way to get through to people going through and doing what they are doing and that is getting someone who has done it and made it.

Why does every black male do the exact same impersonation for white speech? They act like speaking correctly and annuciating properly is some goofy and ridiculous act.
His message was powerful, but his obvious shift in tone as he transitioned from Ebonics to "white speech" while mimicking those he encountered in academia was pretty frickin' pointless.
Good job abusing the English language.

The school mistakenly booked him thinking he was Eric Sermon. Instead, they wound up with some dude named Eric who delivered a sermon.

He is relating to his audience. Just like a white guy couldn't make that speech, neither could an uncle tom.

Dude was spot on but won't do any good for em. One speech from some guy to these kids won't change anything.
All their problems start at home. Where the black community as a whole has accepted single parent households (a lot of them being single teenage mothers) and isn't doing a damn thing to change that. Sad, really.

Yeah, was at Vashon HS in St.Louis.
They used to have SLPD on premise, but they had more fights than w/o cops.
Since kids knew Cops would stop the fights, they tended to get bigger balls, knowing their arse whipping would get stopped. They pulled Both cops out, fights dropped.
Father patrolled the area, they got calls to that school, 3 times a day.
