50 years ago people with mentally handicapped kids that couldn't support themselves would live in a tiny house by their parents house. That is if they weren't completely uncontrollable.

I've helped move a few "retard houses" and for the most part they where pretty nice. It seemed the best solution. Parents could still care for them without having them directly in the homes 24/7 for the rest of thier lives.

I moved one little house to a new relatives place after the parents had passed. Dude couldn't have been happier having his long time little house move along with him.
