The LS is one of the few cars that it is actually more wise to purchase new. Those things hold value ! The most I have ever paid for a vehicle is 31k

Bought a new F-250 last year which was right at $77K out the door but I traded my old one in so that took a good chunk off. It’s crazy how expensive new trucks are now.

You’re right. I do care about the dipshit spending $100k on a depreciating asset. Sorry not sorry

$38.5K for a 2020 1/2 Ton 4x4. Sticker was ~$48K so I feel like it was a decent deal. The mid-level trucks is the only place the value and price points meet for me. Leather, LED lights and a gimmicky nine way folding tailgate aren't worth the extra $25K, but to each their own.

The least I ever paid was $199 for a 1976 AMC Matador (360/auto). Put 60K on the odo during college. Sold it for $30 and a ride home from the junk yard.

I don’t know if anyone is still reading this 9 page thread but from the downvotes and comments people think poorly about people spending money on new cars. Well I would like to ask if those people have ever spent money on a meal at a restaurant or eaten any food rather than beans, rice, fruits, or vegetables because anything more is a waste of money. Stop caring what other people spend their money on. We’re rich, have nice retirement portfolios, and like driving nice cars while we’re physically able to. Stop being poor and get over it.

Most people here have $75k+ trucks and paid cash.

But read any thread about car buying and the OT is pinching pennies and stressing over every dollar

26K. Jeep Wrangler, it’s treated me well so far. Personally I love it but I don’t care about expensive modern vehicles. Anything I would want would be considered a classic and probably over 50K.

19k. Then totaled the car and got 26k back from insurance. Best investment ever.
