Liberals no longer exist. The American left has been hijacked by Progressives, their more authoritarian counterparts.

You old people are hilarious
There are plenty of young liberals that hike, drink craft beer, wear Patagonia etc etc that aren’t in your face at all

Exactly.

Also, from my travels, liberal towns are usually fantastic. Clean, charming, and a ton of local shops and restaurants. Don’t let the OT fool you
However, they are huge hypocrites in the town because they preach income equality blah blah blah yet their towns are usually extremely expensive to live in
100% correct on both counts. Some of the most desirable places to live in the US are very liberal. But they are desirable, so they're impractical for most people to live in. I did find that Portland has a good mix of apparent home values, though. Most of that city is like one continuous neighborhood.

Nah. Progressivism is where it's at. You young people just have no understanding of the political spectrum
Or economics.

I live in Decatur, GA and my wife and I might be the only "conservative" people here.
We have met a few "moderates" who have probably never voted anything other than democrat their wholes lives but at least aren't full blown socialists yet.
ETA: And it is a mostly white population, so it's not just "democrat" because of demographic. It's become kind of a liberal mecca for wealthy white people in the Atlanta area who like to pretend like money doesn't matter while entertaining each other with $25 blocks of cheese and $100 bottles of wine in their million dollar homes. It's quite amusing.

I would throw Greenville, sc in there as well
I'm not sure where the idea that Greenville, SC is liberal came from.
We're talking about a city that is home to Bob Jones University in one of the most conservatives parts of the state.
If I were to rank the 3 cities of South Carolina from most liberal to most conservative, it'd be:
1. Columbia
2. Charleston
3. Greenville

Agree on both accounts.

One of the big issues in Prog areas is zoning laws which inflate home values and price most people out of the area. The housing prices all up the West Coast are incredible.
Portland does have some cool older homes though.

Austin is obviously the biggest lib magnet in Texas, but Dallas is pretty bad too. Like actual Dallas County.
It’s funny because if you look at an election map Dallas county votes like 60%+ for Hillary and Collin (Plano, Frisco) and Denton counties both were 55% Trump.
The amount of Beto shite that is still plastered everywhere is nauseating.

Eureka Springs?
Bingo.
I always understood Eureka Springs to be filled with "free-spirited" hippy types. I take it that it's still that way? How big of a town is it?

Texas counts as th south than austin
If not, New Orleans for the most liberal major city
Asheville for most liberal city i have been to in the south
Ashville has had 2 generations of northeastern people buying in. The hippies came for the outdoors and art from Chicago and Madison too.
For northern California, Austin is the one, south or not.
New Orleans Katrina reduced new Orleans to life support.
The new Orleans Bohemian culture depended on music.
Jazz Diaspora.

Nah. The gay folks took over, bought the old properties and turned it into "boutique hotels" and B&Bs. It's a weird little island in that part of the country.

Correct.
The crazy ones are just the loudest.
Same with conservatives. Most are quiet and sane and just want whats best for their family. The loud, redneck MAGA ones are the minority, they're just the loudest.
It's a shame people don't realize this.
