Often it is the lenders fault. They will ask for the sun and then the milky way. Bought a second home a few years ago, it kept going on and on with more requests, finally fed up, told em to cancel the whole deal. I was done sending anything else and hung up. Took about 5 minutes for them to call back and they never asked for another thing.
If it was so urgent before, why was it not after I told em to shove it?

95% of the time it’s the lenders fault. The title company will rarely say that bc lenders also are the ones that refer them business.

The Lenders freak up the entire process. EVERYBODY is on hold, including attorneys, for the money changers to get off their a-- and do their job. In the meantime, watch them chuckle as they get several points on writing your loan and doing little to nothing but typing in a loan application online. Pathetic.

The one who holds the money is always in charge. If you don't like it, go find another lender. There is one on every corner.

Has anyone ever submitted documents to a mortgage lender just once? I swear they lose the shite and then instead of looking for it they just request I again.
On a similar note, anytime I ever have to submit anything via fax, it’s a guarantee I’ll have to send it three times. frick you, fax.

I'm the seller. Would be nice to unload this white elephant, but if I don't, another buyer will come along. I don't need the aggravation.

Why isn’t their lender dealing with their title on cancelled liens? Why are they asking you for proof? Also if you were in such a hurry why did you send everything snail mail instead of FedEx? Also why not send electronic versions?
I’m sure your effort and ability to respond and produce paperwork has been as pure as the driven snow, and that the other few dozen folks involved in this process are blameless...and in this case the lender truly is 100% responsible.
Not.
