No idea. I'm LDS. Speaking for myself, I have no interest in more than one wife. None. I don't know any Mormon men that feel differently.

My grandparents have told me they would practice plural marriage if it were ever legal again but they're old school Utah Valley Mormons. That was an uncomfortable conversation when I was 14.

He got me to bite for sure so maybe that will keep him from watching some kind of demented abusive porn later on today.

What exactly is it that you think Mormons are hiding?

Mormons hide very little, but it's funny how most everything a Mormon needs to know is in their own library, but they've never read it. Although, public libraries have had to protect a lot of the documents that mysteriously started to come up missing. Now, many of their documents can't be checked out.

The religion has the man in charge having the right to amend scripture, like the leader does, is comical at best. The head of the church is basically Jesus alive and well and walking right now on earth and making scripture.

Some of Young's sermons were pretty wild, like when he said Adam and Eve came from Mars at one point, which by the way, is what is excepted as a Mormon fact. Why? Because he was the head of the church at the time and he said it. This goes on even today. What the leader says, goes.

And yes, some of the most recent racists against Blacks were the Mormons. It is still in the original Book of Mormon in more than one place that black skinned people are cursed. In other words, they say blacks are going to hell. Go see an older Mormon, they always bring it up. Sort of to just make sure it's still there. Sure, they amended it, but they are some of the last known racists.

Levels to heaven. Wild stuff. Not only do you go straight to hell if you are not a Mormon, you may not even wind up in the same "heaven" as your spouse or kids. The higher level people can go visit the lower slummers of heaven, but not vice-versa. I could go on and on.

Yeah, mostly nice people, but mostly hoodwinked and also very boneheaded and rather stupid in the fact that they refuse to look at evidence right in front of their faces.

And, I don't like the fact that when they bang on doors, they never address what they are all really about and always sugar coat the real deep facts underlying the religion.

And, a 12 year old should not have the power to play Jesus on earth and I think that's a little too young for them to be dunking people, too, in the name of the Lord. What's the first age of their priests, isn't like age 8? Really? A priest at 8? And then by 12 you basically have the power of Jesus on earth and can do the dunking in the name of the Lord?

Plus, when you die, it's like this. God says yeah, let him in, but Joe Smith there on the other side of God gets to vote too, and if he says no, you're outta there!

So, it goes like this: "For God so love the world, he gave his only begotten son, for who so ever believes in him -- AND JOSEPH SMITH ---

Yeah. All that and much much more.

Boring as hell book, that original book of mormon.

And, Joe Smith, found the golden plates behind the barn, he gets behind a curtain (I can't make this up) and translates it to a teacher. Of course that's before he steals the horse and all that other great stuff.

The Wizard of Oz lives on.

Just to be perfectly clear, you can substitute LDS for every time I say the word "Mormon". I should have just used that, what they prefer, because I'm talking about what LDS people believe here. This isn't the original church which ran into problems when they said only direct kin of Joe Smith could head the church (make new scripture) but they ran out of men in linage. That and LDS went against the multiple wife thing and several other things the original Mormons believed. But, again, everything I've outlined is what LDS followers believe.

Just look at all the directions this thread goes and how much misunderstanding there is about this religion. It's the same with most others, though. They just don't get into the deep facts. And, really, most of them don't even know what the religion is all about themselves. What a shame.

Well, to be fair, the Mormon version off Hell isn't the same as most mainstream Christians believe. It's not fire and brimstone and after you die you will still have a chance to convert.

12 but it's not a Priest as most people would understand it. At that age about all you do is bless and pass around the sacrament trays (stand at the end of the pews and hand the tray to the next pew), and collect the fast offering (run around the neighborhood knocking on doors once a month). It's not much different than many churches at that age. You basically just help out with shite.

Nah, those guys are straight shooters and honestly I like the cut of their jib. They're always helping out the community with free personality tests and stuff. Complete opposite of those swarthy Mormon swindlers.

Damn dude, just trying to have some harmless fun. It was not my intention to get you upset, I just wanted to use the word "Mormonized". Sorry for any harm I may have caused. Hope we're cool

I know. That's some crazy stuff that they believe. It's certainly not normal stuff like the son of God being conceived by a virgin and later killed and resurrected and rising to heaven. I mean, that's completely logical.

Yeah, and they convert dead people. Good stuff. Forgot about that one. And the temples. Unreal amounts of gold in them. The money they spend of shiny objects.

I'll say this again, though. And it's really what they believe, no matter if you think being "fair" is a defense.
