Nah. I wouldn't give that one to him. It's what he gets for being a moron. Who the frick doesn't know Achilles?

Idk, but I mean you should have to pronounce the word right to get credit. Just because I can look at Chinese symbols doesn't mean I know how to pronounce them or what they mean.
No. The contestant I'm thinking of was speaking English with a foreign accent. They didn't reward him because his accent caused him to "mispronounce" the word.

My oldest goes to Indiana University. I had a good time with this. What an idiot.

I have seen them not let a contestant win with much less at stake. You must pronounce it correctly.

Ok. Just thought I once saw a dude flub the pronunciation of the last word in a phrase. Like he repeated the word 5 different ways, acting unsure about each pronunciation and PS just gave an awkward "that's it"
I could see it being important in Jeopardy. But if you get that close in WOF, why not just give it to them?

That dude is stupid. How does one get on this show? I feel like I would be very good at it.

because guessing letters isn't the same as correctly knowing and saying what the phrase is

I realize that. But technically the puzzle is solved once every letter is turned. If it was missing a letter and you say it wrong, of course. But it's kind of splitting hairs once every letter is in place.

not saying it correctly means you don't know what it is, you just got lucky guessing the letters.
there's one solution to the puzzle, and he didn't say it.

Would Pat have the balls to tell him it's wrong?

Had he gotten them right that would have been one of the most epic wins on wheel of fortune. What a maroon

I think shed-ule is an accepted pronunciation, albeit more British English.
credick would be interesting since its changing the world's spelling, not just the pronunciation
