It's very competitive. You have to have the right credentials, make the right donations, have a family connection, have an athletic kid, come from the right middle schools, ect.

THIS is the only correct part of the comment.

Probably not a Leroy, but a Hayden, whose parents don't want to be bothered with raising him properly, so they give him a great car, all the money he needs to buy the drugs that will have him in rehab by 9th grade. But Hayden is a sly, somewhat educated kid, so he fools his parents into thinking he has straigtened himself up so they keep giving him money and bailing him out of trouble, getting the judges to slap him on the wrist for his DWI, etc. all the while his parents give enough $$ to keep him in school. NO, you won't get a Leroy, you will get worst.

Let me tell ya something Jack, I grew up in north Louisiana and went to the school of hard knocks. I can spot these punk arse spoiled rich boys a mile away. And I've taught my kids about them as well as the other problem kids out there. I think they'll be ok.

It's cause they got all that money to be bad with. I went to Comeaux and we all smoked pot but those STM kids across the street were a bunch of cokeheads.

Leroy probably won't see 12th grade and if he does has a promising future at Todd's carwash.

Well Leroy back in the day would have been expelled from school and ended up in jail for armed robbery where he belongs. Hayden on the other hand remains out of jail, can't keep a job due his drinking and drugs, blames society for his actions, gets a girl preggo, sees the child every once in awhile, all the while still living on handouts from his parents until he kills someone in a drug/alcohol induced car wreck. Then he MIGHT end up in prison.

Just asking because I don't know anyone named Leroy in real life...

Lived two year in Laf, from Shreve, Monroe is home. Laf is a great place for food and good times. I also coached baseball. Kids cussed every other word. They looked at me like I was crazy when i told them there was gonna be no cussing on my team. 11-12 yr olds. After about 4 practices of running laps they finally were able to think before they talked, so they were able to stop most all their cussing. loved the culture, loved the people, but did not want to raise my children there.
