I saw it that day too. My took me and my cousin to Church's--they were selling those t-shirts with the Russian and American gloves smashing into each other. We rocked those bitches like champions.

I have been to the Honky Tonk at least 200 times and not one of them did they play country music. And I wore normal clothes every time.

When I was in high schoo (grad. in '95) I was told you had to wear western wear to get in. I finally went there a couple of years later on a thursday when it was completely open and they played dance music. At least, that's what i remember.... I could be wrong.

I think only 1 night per week is country. Not sure what night. I haven't been there in 5 years though, probably.

Hot Carl will be at Enoch's doing 2 for 1 burgers if anybody wants to IRL. I'll have my td.com long sleeve t-shirt on with "Hot Carl" on the back. Holla.

Hell, I would stop by, just so we could do a stupid, "HEY, guess who is just IRL'd" thread, but the wife is at home puking her guts out. Guess I have to check on her.

Is Cuco's mexican restaurant still there? I used to work there back when I went to NLU.

Wow what memories...Library, Cooterbay, airport lounge, sals, honky tonk and waffle house for exam studying.

There is going to be a new road built through where the course is now... If construction still hasn't started, then it seems like they shut it down too soon.

The good ole P. R. P.! You better not roll through the lakeshore McD's back in the day and look at someone the wrong way or that was your arse!

When I graduated in 77, no smartass comments on my age, we went to the Electric Circus. That was when Saturday Night Fever was popular. When Urban Cowboy came out, I started going to the Branding Iron in West Monroe. Talmadge Wells was a blind piano player and boy he was good. Thats where I got hooked up with Mrs. Jiggyjc. 28 years later, 3 grown kids, and 1 beautiful granddaughter. The rest is history.

I'm a '77 graduate also...Some of those other ones from back then....Rusty Nail, Dynasty Lounge, Backseat, Tonga Island, Archies (up towards Bastrop), Swayback (between Fairbanks and Swartz)...several others I can't remember...good times all.
