you from Union Parish
Yes, graduated from FHS in 1977 and NLU in 1983.
My parents live in Ruston now. That's the closest I have been to Union Parrish in the last decade.

The catfish place I remember is the Catfish Cabin on Louisville. Is that place still around?
It's still there.
Here's a place some of you old timers may remember: The old ice cream/malt place down town (if I can spell it right) Sil-lillies (or something like that)
Silillies.

I was a KA at NLU. He knew some of the guys and we would see him out at all of the bars.
I have lived in Dallas for the last 25 years and think I beleive I ran into him in a bar out here back in the early 80's.

HM spent a few years in the geology department with me, but never quite made it thru. Remember his TV commercial that had him as "Future Dallas Cowboy punter"?

Good Lord I had no idea there were so many LSU fans with fond memories of Fairbanks or Monroe.

Frog Bottoms, cock fights in Archibald. Wasn't there a Pasqualli's Pizza on Louisville close to Sal's? Simmon's Bar on hiway 80, east of Monroe. Was always good for crap games after closing time. What was the name of the old woman's boarding house in West Monroe that a lot of people ate at on Sundays? Use to see Dave Woodman there all the time.

Rialto and Jims theaters
Don't forget the Paramount Theater on Desiard.
Best damn Movie Theater I've ever been to. I think the last Movie I saw there was either Bonnie & Clyde or The Green Berets. The powers that were (and still are) decided to tear it down, replace it with a parking lot and change all the streets to one way. Oh well, those were good times.

They've made a lot of them two-ways again.
