Modest proposal: Bring back Storyville

For the history illiterate, Storyville was NOLA's red light district, closed down by the Navy as a disease prevention measure during WWI and never reopened. The establishments were not just whorehouses, they were full service entertainment destinations. Louis Armstrong and many other Jazz pioneers got their starts playing there.
With the momentum to legalize marijuana gaining steam, Louisiana should double down and go the next logical step.

It was the birthplace of Jazz and responsible for the bigger part of New Orleans' seedy reputation.
And, for New Orleans, seedy is good. There wouldn't be any charm to the place at all if it weren't at least a little dirty and seedy.

Colorado seems to be doing much better than LA by most indicators. Quality of life, Cost of Living, Economic Growth, Jobs Creation, etc.

It's a shame they tore down all those mansions and built projects
Think about what that property would be worth now.
