So, your answer is "no".

What a beacon of integrity you are!

We had some high school kids from a church in Indiana come to our community to paint houses or whatever. Meanwhile our high school kids were painting houses in Florida.

I would say what I always say when people talk about going on a "mission trip" - there are plenty of people who desperately, legitimately need help right in your own zip code. And, you can use the money you save on travel, accommodations, and food to do even more good work right where you are!

I get a lot of dumb blank looks.

I'd start where prostitution is legal or vaguely so. Especially Columbia, Costa Rica, South America region. Those gals are fiiiine and American dollars go a very long way.

I assure you that I do not have to pay for sex.
I find that I sometimes prefer to though. It's more of a "spice of life" situation that I indulge in while traveling.

As for pathetic, I think we both know who is the far more pathetic between us.

Enjoy posting. It seems to be all you have.

I have and do anything and everything I want and need, that’s why I enjoy triggering idiots like you. I have all the free time in the world.

There’s enough widows and homeless veterans around here to keep you busy.

I've been on a few myself medical/construction trips via local churches. For best use of money though, those wanting to go on the trip would be better off sending that $2k each (or whatever) to a reputable organization on the ground and letting them hire local guys to do the work.

How about Dulac, LA? These people are suffering as much as any in other countries and they are fellow AMERICANS. Hurricane Ida hammered southern Louisiana, and the media should be featuring their challenges… but it doesn’t further their BS storyline.

Contact Holy Family Church, and they can point you to the families needing help.

Samaritan’s Purse is an option. I always see them after natural disasters and hear great things about the work they do with injured soldiers.
