Force the LADOTD to replace all DOTD cameras with 4k cameras that record and store a week's worth of data and maintain those cameras and storage data constantly.
The fact that they can use cameras to read license plates for traffic tickets but can't use cameras to record one of the busiest interstates in the nation is absurd. Think how efficient it would be if every camera that was used for traffic violations and toll roads could be used to help search for amber alert license plates.
Before too long police will be pulling up driver locations & times like they do in Britain with CCTV, but maybe i have been watching too many British cops shows.

I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing - technically they will leave you alone if you’re not doing anything wrong, correct???

Having driven in Britain I can confirm there are tons of traffic monitoring and enforcement cameras.
One interstate style highway had camera speed checkpoints. Basicially if you pass a check point faster than the allotted time to travel below the speed limit, you get fined harshly
I'm willing to bet those cameras would bring down the rate of wrecks on the Atchafalaya Basin bridge but ain't no damn way we would allow it to happen.

I heard this morning that authorities were able to verify she crossed the bridge 4 times before the incident.
By GPS or stored video footage? One of the two could potentially solve many unanswered questions. No reason at all to install cameras on significant structures that are not set up to record past events-1-2 weeks minimum.

What? There needs to be cameras on the Mississippi River bridge that record and keep the footage at least for 72 hours - it would help with at fault accidents and this case here. It wouldn’t hurt to have them on the atchafalaya basin bridge or the bonnet carre spillway bridge as well
If you’re that worried about the government peeping in on you - then you need to get rid of most electronic devices

Not true - I watch you via webcam ...

Webcam is taped just like my butthole.

I have a feeling this thread is about to be derailed.

That's the LAST fricking reason Interstate bridges need to be filmed.
Homeland Security, however, would be a good reason. Then may be used in situations like this one.

Does that help with the bleaching?
Anyway - just joking and don’t be frightened - I’m not a ‘Bro’
It’s just ridiculous that there are no recording cameras on the bridge notorious for 18 wheeler wrecks - and so many other unanswered questions about this case

Plaintiff attorneys will fight having cameras recording wrecks. They just want to settle, they don’t want evidence or proof

God dammit TB08. Why are we on the same page in back to back days?

I still believe some of these major thoroughfares around the country are being recorded for HLS(Terrorist) purposes.

I agree - that’s probably why there aren’t cameras up there right now.

So you’re more afraid of a terrorist than being squished by a car carrier?
Ok
