Minnesota man throws meth-fueled 'death party' for his wife, who then dies

A Minnesota man threw a meth-fueled “death party” for his wife — who then died.
Duane Arden Johnson, 58, was arrested for criminal neglect after calling 911 to report the death of his 69-year-old wife Debra Lynn Johnson, the Twin Cities Pioneer Press reported.

Duane told police he medicated his wife with methamphetamine because she didn’t want to die in a nursing home, according to local paper The Free Press.
Debra was found dead in the couple’s southern Minnesota home, where “Death Parde God Hell” was reportedly painted on the door and “several guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition” were found inside. Duane allegedly answered the door naked, confirmed police had the right house, then returned to his bathtub where he said he was trying to remove some sort of undetectable “things” from his skin.

The Free Press reported that Debra had been in a nursing home, but Duane checked her out and took her home. The husband said he and his wife spent their final hours together having sex and listening to metal band Quiet Riot’s 1983 album “Metal Health.”
Another report called the death suspicious and said the county’s drug task force participated in the arrest. Duane was arrested and bail was set at $250,000.
