My ex-brother in law did the same thing 7, almost 8 years ago. Moved to a different state and never reported to his reserve unit. He was only 1 yr in to his contract.

Nothing ever happened. He has never been contacted about it. Used all of the money. It's easy for the reserves to forget about someone.

I haven't put anyone out in a long time. I'm in kind of an insulated bubble right now in which I only deal with field grade officers (or 95% of the time) and do not supervise any NCOs or enlisted.

Not sure what branch you are in but you sure aren't an Army first sgt.

Just read Saintwest post about it being LCMJ instead of UCMJ. Not sure of the major differences

The major differences are primarily the potential punishments that someone can receive from an article 15 or a courts martial. Another difference is all of the punitive articles in the UCMJ are not in the LCMJ, but all of the punitive articles in the LCMJ are in the UCMJ.

Think it was the USMC reserves, but could be wrong.

Is he in the baton Rouge area unit? I'm no longer in that unit but was for a long time. I can ask around if you need me to. Still have some friends there.
