Its not the same kind of hire.
Lsu has had 3 title game appearances since 2003 and we hired a 55 year old position coach.
Clemson had 1 top 20 finish from 1991-2008 and hired a 40 years old position coach that had been a play caller.
But yeah i can see the similarities.

He's not a "Hollywood elite", but certainly a celebrity and television star. They probably stopped being amused by him when he stopped donating to Democrats and went all in on being chief Obama birther
