Edmonson should already be in jail anyway, not freely walking around Bourbon with Texas lawyer friends during Lundi Gras.

I'm normally the first one to hang law enforcement personnel but if Harris is a black guy and you don't think that it went down like Edmondson's people are saying it did, then you didn't grow up around black folks like I did.
Even other black males know better than to try intervene in an argument involving a black male and diffuse the situation. You either get to fighting or get to walking. There is no in between. Standing around and engaging in conversation with them over the matter never ends well. That implies there's some rationality, logic and a lack of ego.
ETA: And for the record, Edmondson and people like him, are giant pieces of shite and don't belong anywhere near public office. Unfortunately for Harris that doesn't change the facts of the case, however few there are in this article, it only hurts edmondson's credibility. Harris fricked up by continuing to try to engage them when they walked away.

Because that's how every single black person operates. Having gone to public school that was 50% white, 50% black throughout grade school (except for 6, 7th and 8th grade) I can assure you it goes both ways.
I've seen black kids get in trouble for something white kids did because after the white kid told their story, it just made more sense that the black kids broke into a concession stand and stole a bunch of candy. This is even after some white kids said that the white kids did it.. Because those white kids parents went to school and told the principle the only reason those white kids are saying that is because they don't like those other white kids.

This is complete bullshite. Its not an "all black people" thing.
But Edmonson has gotten away with so much.. If for some reason this turns into anything more and is charged with something.. That will just help make up for everything he has gotten away with.

That's called life bro. Yeah I don't like it either but when you have people in your corner it makes you more credible. If the black kids parents didn't want to go in there and defend them then they were on their own. It sucks, I know. My parents never defended me in any situation because I was a bad kid so I know about being targeted for your reputation.

I gotcha.. But to be fair, I think all groups of people are different in the city than they are in rural areas.
I grew up in a more rural area. People who live in "the city" (small city.. almost town category) are different than people they grew up 8-10 miles away from. who live in rural areas.
At least when I was in HS, a black kid who lived in the city and grew up in a bad area of town.. They were selling, involved in gangs (there were 4 different parts of town , one area divided by a high way.. Poor blacks and each of those areas had a gang. But there was a bigger difference between city blacks and rural blacks than there was/is between city/suburban whites and rural whites... So I got you now.
Rural blacks hunt, fish, chew tobacco, never miss a church service. Will be the first person to stop and help someone out..
But in this situation, I am sure neither side is giving the exact truth, but if Edmonson was going around and putting a sticker on random girls breast.. Even if it was "good natured", you have to expect that at some point they would put a sticker on someone who has a over protective boyfriend or even friend.. Hell, if it was unsolicited that is sexual assault in Louisiana..
