Bad logic dude. He didn't approach him without a gun and obviously had no reservations with using his gun if need-be. Approaching a person legally with the full power of the state behind him and a gun is hardly brave.

I'm not saying he's necessarily a coward either because of that. But confronting an unarmed suspect when you are armed is hardly immunity from being called a wimp. Strong is clearly asserting that he is a wimp because he was so fearful of a physical confrontation with a strong dude that he shot him. Whether that is reality or not has no bearing on how illogical your comment is.

No. My point is that the point I made would not be valid in the rare instance that he is already brandishing his weapon. A cop approaching someone that he knows is armed at least as heavily as him could never be considered a coward IMO.

No,I don't think. Why you may ask. I have only a little outside experience with law enforcement. That would be 25 years of interaction at my part time job, fireman. I've witnessed it all. Interaction between every race color and creed on both sides. BTW, FYI, every black cop I have known ends up disliking black people to some degree after a short time on the job. As I was saying, I can find no reason to modify police procedures that are already too dam controlled by your federal gov't already. LEO must have SOME lateral movement in order to engage the public and trust that they will do so safely. The downside is that each LEO has a personality and each citizen has a personality. Inevitably the 2 will clash ... even with 100% Rhodes Scholars on the force. The cops carry guns. When the nature of the citizen allows itself to make an incorrect decision the citizen will usually lose. Did I answer your question or shall I go on? I would love to go into more detail but I am a disabled veteran. Typing with one hand is tedious but I try.
